I recently discovered a will by John Cole of Hawkins Co., TN, dated 9/11/1826, in which he refers to his wife Margaret, his brother James, and his grandfather Joseph. Can anyone tell me which John Cole this is, as I know there were several living at this time. Could his father have been Mathew Cole? Please help.

Have just started to research the Cole family of Hawkins County. My great grandmother was Amanda Cole. She was the daughter of Martin Cole, I believe. She married Albert Marshall in 1881 in Hawkins County. Could this be your line of Coles? any info would be appreciated.

Am searching for Rachel A. COLE. Would like to find a Rachel A. COLE who married a PATTON about 1874 and moved to Texas. She has a brother named George and Was wondering if you have a Rachel in your COLE family.

I have a Rachel Arminda Cole in Hawkins Co., Tn. but, Unless yours came back to Hawkins Co. by 1882 it wouldnt be the same one.
Parents names for my Rachel A. Cole were Solomon & Harriett. One brother I know of is Joe. Sister, Minervie(Cole)Mathews.

Trying to find more i.fo about Andy Mathews my ggrandfather. I think he was the son of nervie cole and Alexander Mathews, The last record of him is a 1890 census showing he married Solama Painter.
