My great-great grandfather was a Thomas Carew from Witless Bay, Newfoundland. He had three sons, Martin, Laurence and Thomas. Martin is my great-grandfather and the eldest son. He emigrated to Massachusetts around 1890. My grandmother, Mary Agnes Carew (aka Polly Carew), who was born in 1893, told of visiting her cousins in Brooklyn NY. These cousins might have been the children of Thomas Carew. Who are the descendents of Thomas?

My Carew Family did not, as far as I know go to Canada or Newfoundland. However, there are some who went to New York,at this time I don't know who they were, but I think a Kate was mentioned and there was another female, there may have been others. Thomas and Margaret had the following children-Lawrence, Elizabeth, Kate, Margaret, and William that I know-there may be others, but these are the only ones I was able to find. My carew family came from County Kildare Ireland.

My great grandfather (b 1871) was Jeremiah Carew, the brother of Thomas, as well as Joanna, William, Ross, Margaret, William, Michael, John, Ann, James, Catherine and Bridget (whew!). Unfortunately I do not have dates for any of them, but they were all born in Knockgraffon, Ireland (county Tipperary).
Their parents were Jeremiah Carew (b 1831) and Bridget Keating.
