I am searching for William T. Waddell and his wife Rachel Tysor. They resided in Randolph Co. NC in the mid 1800. They had at least one daughter named Nannie Parmelia Waddell who was married to Thomas Edgar West.
Thank-you

I have a William b.1794 that is the son of Edmund Waddell b.1748 in New Kent, VA and Lucy Birdsong b.about 1754 in Sussex, VA. I am following his sister Lydia b.1790 in Randolph County NC. I don't have any data on William except his birth date. There might be a connection here.

Lorena,
Our ancestors are indeed related but my William T. Waddell is the son of John Birdsong Waddell who is also Lydia's brother. In other words your Lydia is my William T. Waddell's aunt. I would very much love to receive the information that you have on your branch of the tree. My relatives also lived in the Randolph County area. Please let me hear from you.

We also have an ancestor named William T. Waddill, who lived in Randolph County, NC in 1860. The 1860 census misspelled his last name Waddill with an "e" (Waddell). We have a copy of his Last Will Testament with the correct spelling as "Waddill". His wife was Rachel L. and his children were Mary E. (wife of John Beck), Nannie P. (wife of Thomas West), John H. Waddill, Robert (T or F) Waddill, Anna K. Waddill, James B. Waddill, William W. Waddill, Edmond (F or T) Waddill, and Benjamin H Waddill. He died around Aug 12, 1887. The census shows him to be 35 years of age in 1860 so he must have been born around 1825. His brother, Edmund, is my husband's g-grandfather. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

My William had to have been born before 1809, probably between 1790 and 1800 in Virginia and probably moved out of Va as a child or young man. I would be very interested in any information from Waddells or Waddles in New Kent prior to 1800 or around that time. I think may be out williams could be cousins? I think the T stands for Thomas because the name William Thomas has been passed down. Thanks. Susan
