Any way to force FTM to reupload media?

Any way to force FTM to reupload media?

I recently added a bunch of photos to a tree, then synced the media up to Ancestry, which seems to have corrupted the images. All I get is the default grayboxes on Ancestry.

Eventually (for other reasons), I had to delete my local tree. I redownloaded it from Ancestry, and found that the downloaded images were also corrupt. So I manually replaced them in FTM from backups (always keep backups!).

But of course, FTM won't re-up them because there's already a copy on Ancestry. Is there any way to force FTM to upload and overwrite the Ancestry media without having to manually delete them on Ancestry?

Try this I think it might work

From FTM mark all your medi private

Link and Sync

No media should appear on the AMT

Now go back to FTM

Unprivatize..FTM should indicate that a sync is needed and upload the media

otherwise

Delete your online AMT and up load a fresh tree

Let me know if it works?

Thanks.

Yes, it worked. Though in the process I discovered the "resync" right-click option in Media view, too.

Goo!

Thank you for letting me know.

It is always good to use a new feature as a new workaround

IN FTM, right click is always the first "get out of jail free card" you should use.
