Sort Person ID - FTM 2012

Edit>Find Individual allows searching via Person ID, and if the value field is left blank, all Person IDs will be listed.

However, it is not possible as far as I can see to sort the ID list in numerical order.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

This may not be what you want, but I have a Custom Report set up which is based on Person ID, so I can run off a list of recent additions. Although actually it produces a report for the whole database and I just select the pages which number from after the last time I ran it.

You can also export (Share) the custom report as a CSV file and open it in a spreadsheet and then sort and arrange to your heart's content.

Thank you jjhowes and johnd. These are helpful suggestions.

When using Person ID numbers, I cannot find any means of searching for or finding a person by means of their assigned ID number. Is this correct?

You can select a "Person ID" fact in a custom report.

Thank you Silverfox and johndd.

I guess my secondary question is:

In the People Workspace, Bookmarks provide a handy means of navigating to or finding people. However, some programs have an even quicker means of navigating to someone where you know that Person's ID number. Eg, if you know Joe Bloggs is number 99, typing number 99 in a search panel is even quicker than using Bookmarks. In FTM I cannot see any means of navigating straight to a required person simply by means of entering their assigned ID number. Is this correct?

Could I suggest that you submit an enhancement request

Explain how you would use this enghancement, ie make the "business case".

You are competing with many other enhancement request so you have to explain why it would be good etc
