I have a Mary Ryan married to James McCarthy in SA 10/24/1857. They later moved to Geelong. I have more on there children, but nothing about their parents. Do you have these folks in your tree?

Bridget Ryan 1858 - 1893 married John Howard , Melbourne 1877, her parents John Ryan & Eliza Heffernan of Tipperery, Ireland.

My husbands relative was John Ryan M 1872 Young, Mary A.L. Lehane, children Catherine Ellen b 1883 M 1905 William A. Sullivan died 1937. John W.G. Ryan b 1884. Are any of you people related? Maureen

Hi Maureen,
The names you mention do not ring any bells , you are probably having the same trouble as myself, searching for info on the name Ryan is as bad as the name "Smith", there are just too many of them. My Ryans were from Tipperary and seem to have stayed in Victoria once they got here. Other names on their side were Heffernan, O'NeiI, Howard, Flanaghan, Bell. I will save your message and contact you should I find any links.

Some of my great aunts and uncles went to Australia either from Ireland or England..they were all from Killenaule, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Have names and dates of birth..help would be appreciated

My John Ryan was a railway fettler.
He married Mary Lehane 1872 in St Mary's Church Young NSW Australia, they had 6 children all born in Boorowa NSW.
