Am having much problem finding my grandfather and his family. Per his Daabsattest his name was Jens Mikkelsen Degn. His date of birth 23 January 1883.His father was Peder Kristjan M Degn born 23 December 1836 Denmark ( no town,county) Died 6 December 1902 Denmark again no town or county. His mother Kirsten Maren Andersdatter born 2 July 1847 Denmark Died 26 May 1933 Denmark. Jens emigrated to USA 3 April 1901 going to Grayling, Crawford county, Michigan, USA He left Denmark with his 16 year old sister Anna Marie Mikkelsen Degn born 12 July 1885 Mors, Denmark. She died Grayling, Michigan USA 22 July 1932. She had married Rudolph William Sorenson on 26 November 1904. he was born 18 June 1867 in Vester, Kippinge, Flaster, Denmark. Jens other siblings: Soren born ? died 1941 Denmark.Anders born 29 March 1872 Denmark, died 15 September 1905 Michigan. He had married Charlotte Christtiansen born 23 April 1875 Lolland, Denmark.They had married 19 February 1900 Grayling, Crawford county, Michigan, USA Sister Marie ( Karin Marie) born 1 June 1877 Denmark. died 1919 Denmark married Charles Gam--dates unknown. Brother Solamon born about 1874, died about 1941 Denmark Brother Niels Peter born 1875 Denmark died 4 August 1954 Denmark. Inguard born about 1889 Denmark. Wife Kristine per letters to family last one received 9 January 1957. Spoke of Son Peter military as of 1937. Had married daughter Ingrid Oster stated age as of 1957 as 41. Many letters and documents in Danish which I cannot read. Please help.Its obvious town names have changed. Really want to connect with family.

Again thank you so very much! I was told she had came for a visit, but hadn't found her entry to Ellis Island. This visit was just before her son Anders Kristian Mikkelsen died which was 15 September 1905. I wonder did she stay till her son died and then return to Denmark with her daughter in law Charlotte Mikkelsen Degn and her 3 sons?
