I am looking for an obituary and was wondering if anyone could direct me to some where I could write to get it. I am willing to pay for it, but just don't know where to write to.

This is what I am looking for :

Jessie Davis died on Nov. 1969 in Carville, Iberville, Louisiana. I really would like to receive her obit.

Any help anyone can give me I would really appreciate it.

Try the funeral home where she was prepared. they often keep copies of obits.
You might also try the closest newspaper to Carville.

Thank you so much for the advice. I don't know what funeral home it was. I will try to find out in newspapers, but do you know where I can write to find out about getting an obit?

I live in Hawaii so I'm not familiar with Louisiana.

if you know anything about carville . check mount calvery church .the church still have there records if the person you looking for im sure they was burried in the grave next to the church.my grand father was the care giver there and his name was james allen and he was married to laura allen.The church is still there and service is still held there.i know they still have record from 1969.
