My Grandfather, William Jackson Young owned the Greystone Hotel in the early 1900's. I would love to have pictures or any history about the hotel.

I have a photo taken of the Greystone Hotel prior to it being razed due to the fire. It is a color photo. Please let me know if you are interested. I would be glad to send you a copy either by email or U.S. mail.

My Great-Great Grandfather Charles Edward Share built the Greystone Hotel. It was first known as the "Share House".

Yes I remember reading articles about the Share House before it became the Greystone. How exciting.

Dear Share Descendant,
That Share House was the second location for the stopping of stages from Owyhee County in the early 1900s--for people meeting the train. The first was a stage station where the 12th Ave WalMart now stands, from about 1885-6 until into the 1900s. We are searching for information (the Canyon County Historical Society) on that forst station, and will be including some Share information in a booklet that will be published. You are invited to offer some information!

The land was homesteaded in 1882 by George and Marietta Glover, and the following property owner from around 1906 until after 1939, was Frank L, Brown.

Have you ever been to "Shares Snout," a high point of rocks up in the Owyhees?

Thank you so much for making the photo available.
I would like a copy e-mailed, if possible. As this is my first visit to ancestry.com, do you need any additional information?
I am also a descendant of CE Share and had visited the site of the Hotel with my father and daughters just after it had been razed.
Thank you, again!
