hoping for a link to passenger lists of the ship 'Eastern Empire' that arrived in abt June 1864 at Port Adelaide South Australia

Eastern Empire arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on 21st June 1864. Unfortunately, I've had difficulty finding a site where I can get into the original ships passenger list. ... I can usually manage to find a ships list when I have an arrival date, but for some reason I can't with the Eastern Empire - it's a puzzle.

I did notice a typed list for this ship somewhere, which had a Jane Cadzow & an Elizabeth Cadzow on it ... but it was worthless because it gave no details, not even their ages.

However, are these two names familiar to you?

yes, this could be the family. Looking for passenger list with Helen [Meek] Cadzow & Michael Cadzow, and seven children - Catharine, James, Elizabeth, Helen, Thomas, MaryAnn and Jane, as well as William Meek, Helen's sister.

I am to trying to find the passenger list of the Eastern Empire arriving into Adelaide in 1864. Have you as yet had any luck in finding it. I have been searching for it for ages....
The names I am looking for is Georgina Sophia TOWNSEND she would have been 18 years old in 1864. Hope that you can send me in the right direction. Many thanks Angie

My Hore relatives came out on the 'Eastern Empire' and I found their details on theshipslist.com. It can get a little frustrating at time but once you understand how to use it it is juuuuuuust fabulous.

The others have not accessed the passenger list they have just found a newspaper notice on TROVE newspapers (just google)

I don't have the list but can tell you there were 2 TOWNSEND on Eastern Empire (ship) 20 June 1864
