My laptop has died and all the new ones have Windows 8. FTM2005 does all I need it to so dont wish to upgrade but does any one know if it works with windows 8?

I recently bought a refurbished laptop with Win 7 Pro installed. Does FTM 2005 work on Win 7?

This support article may help. I understand Windows 8 can be made to work like Window 7. No support for 64 bit windows though.

Thanks for the link but it is strange - I have been using Windows 7 64 bit with out any issues for years

I installed FTM2005 on my windows 8 lap top with out any problems apart from some reports will not print in PDF form, but this was also a problem on my windows 7 computer as well - I think it is a known issue (just wish they would get it sorted!)

I have also installed FTM 2005 on my Windows 8 laptop. I haven't tried to do anything with it, however, but it is there mainly as a back-up anyway. So long as I can access the information....and hopefully if I make changes there can copy it back into my Windows 7 computer.
