Term in 1900 Norwegian Census Records

There's an entry in the Norwegian 1900 Census records for my grandfather that gives the municipality at Skip1. The occupation is Matros (Sailor) but he's with people that have no relationship to him and he was 9 years old. I can guess what it might mean but if there’s anyone that’s run across this in their family, I would be interested to hear what you’ve learned. Thank you for your time.

He appears to be on a ship. Can't really give you more advice unless can see the actual record you are talking about.

Thank you. That was enough to help me find his record - I must of had a long week he was 19 not 9. I found his ship after going though many Norwegian Census Records.

Thanks again -
