Jim. I'm responding to an old email you posted in 2001 that I just came across on the Morgan County, Ohio board.

Have you received any off-line responses or been able to update this family from other sources? John James and Almira Noyes have been a wall for some time so I'm hoping you have info so I can get beyond it. James is my principal family of interest.

I've received some detail from sources that may provide research clues:

Elmyra/Almira Noyes
Parents: Joseph and Esther Noyes, both born in Maine.
Joseph and Esther’s children include: Elmyra/Almira, John, Joseph, William, Peter, Robert, Washington and LaFayette. I have a report that there were a total of 15 children but I do not have the data on all 15. I also have a report that Elmyra/Almira’s brother, John, who was known as Captain John Noyes, was a prominent individual in Mondamin, Iowa.

I have resource contact info as well as some other unproven material. Contact me at schonstrom@aol.com.
