Unable to sync tree

My Ancestry.ca tree is shown on the family tree maker (Ancestry Trees), if I click on the tree the correct tree opens in my browser. When I try and sync the trees they fail with an "FTM error message".
I have tried to completely remove FTM from my computer and reload. It still did not work.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What error message?

What OS? Windows XP, 7, 8 or Mac?

What do mean by completely remove? Did you uninstall the program and reboot?

Have you regularly compacted and backed up your FTM files?

If you are doing the sync, then you must be using version 2012 - is that correct?
If you have uninstalled and reinstalled the program, you may have lost any sync records you had, so will probably have to re-download your tree from Ancestry - assuming that your main tree is online, not on your computer.
Did you re-register your FamilyTreeMaker after you reinstalled it?

Thanks for the reply. I have 2012 running and was able to copy files over from my network server that allowed me to create a clean install and perform the sinc.
