Vilas L. Timm, 94 - Jan. 11, 1907 - Nov. 28, 2001

Vilas L. Timm of New Richmond died on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at the Maple Manor Healthcare Center in New Richmond.
He was born in Clamo, Green County, Wis., on Jan. 11, 1907 to Edward and Minna (Lenz) Timm. Vilas married Mildred Wienke on Feb. 7, 1934 in Forest Township. After he and Mildred retired from farming, they operated the Holiday Motel in New Richmond.
Vilas was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; great-grandson Joshua Colbeth; two brothers, Orlin and Milo; and four sisters, Florence, Bertha, Lavina and Irene who died in infancy.

He is survived by son Virgil (Agnes) Timm of New Richmond; three daughters, Loretta (Leroy) Larson of Baldwin, Carol (Bernard) Colbeth of New Richmond, Audrey (Mike) Larson of Elk Mound; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 1 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Richmond with Pastor John W. Schenck officiating. Organist was Loretta Kummerfeldt. Active casketbearers were Timothy Larson, Steven Larson, Vernon Timm, Mark Colbeth, Karl Nelson and Andrew Larson.

Honorary casketbearers were Jodi Larson, Amy Larson, Donna Timm, Linda Nelson, Debbie Bauermeister, Cindy Sternweis, Dixie Erickson and Diane Tainter. Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery.
