Classification: Query
Surnames: Houston, Stewart, McClelland, Adair
There was a William Adair of Kinhilt who reportedly married a Rosina McClelland of Gelston (Bomby ?) and later a Miss Houston of Castle Stewart both after c.1580.

I think think this Castle Stewart may have also been known as Ravenstone Castle, sometimes listed as being in Sorby / Sorbie Parish and sometimes listed in Glasserton Parish.

It is shown on Pont's map as Castle Stewart just south of Culkay and the owner c.1620s (?) seemed to be W. Stewart.

His neighbor to the north appears to be Hathorn of Castlewig.

On the west appears to be Chapel Aughter (would this be connected to the Agnews of Kil-aughter in Antrim who married Houston ?). Little hard to read my map.

Would your Jane STEWART have been from Castle Stewart / Ravenstone Castle ?
