My branch of the HYNES family I can trace to
arriving at TULLA in 1840 where they had two drapery stores up to 1930's. Family in Rag Trade Manchester, England also. John was head of family in 1840. One son went to USA possibly became a Lawyer or Judge. James Patrick with daughter Clare, was lost on SS LEINSTER (hit by U-Boat) off Dublin Bay October 1918. This was the beginining of the end of the connection with Tulla. Most of JP's sons incl 3 Doctors moved to England. Family Practice at Battersea London 1925 to 1970's. My GF, Joseph stayed in Ireland. His sister Ellen/Nelly was a Nun,"Sr.Bruno" in the Sisters of Charity, Cork and Dublin. The census shows her born in USA. Possibly my GF's cousin not sister ?? Trying to trace the USA connection.
