I am hunting for the grave of Walter Hampton "Hamp" Chandler who was killed at the "Seige of Juarez" on May 8, 1911...I made a memorial for him on findagrave at the "Dunken Cemetery"..but think he was buried on a ranch or somewhere nearby there. I know for sure he was buried at Dunken as his father stated so in a deposition when he was in the midst of a lawsuit with the Mexican Government for the accidental shooting of his son. Walter Hampton "Hamp" Chandler was born 7 Oct 1877 in Llano County, Texas. His uncle W. R. Chandler was a blacksmith at Dunken in 1910. His father, Albert Jerome "Rome" Chandler worked on a ranch. Another question I have is if anyone knows where "Lower Penasco" was located. I have seen a photo of the store there in 1911. Hamp's father stated that he hired an undertaker to take the body to Dunken, on the lower Penasco for burial. Thanks for any help.
