Hi, I've been searching for info on the Lytell/Lightelle line. My GGgrandparents were Ernest and Martonice(Aniese). The 1900 census lists them as being mulatto and the mother of either Ernest or Martonice(not sure which), Corine Barthlomey b.1840, is listed as mulatto as well. I was wondering if there was any info on whether Corine was a slave or born free and where the names Lightelle and Barthlomey came from? Any info would be much appreciated.
