"History of O'Mullally and Lally clan good reading states Malooly is a pronunciation of Maul(gh)ual(ee)a gh is silent. Malual(ee) or Malooly (Put the Irish Brough/accent in the pronunciation) Its a slaughter of the spelling. see Page 60 and Page 388 Supposed to be from Longsford, Ireland ( Mom had to change her name, Its is Marry Ellen, but birth cert. said Mary Helen. Irish pronunciation get slaughtered!)

I have a relative:Martin Joseph Malooly who got a job with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. (story is indentured to RR) He slowly migrated West to Wheeling (West Virginia) Virginia. The family would Visit relatives in Baltimore (unknown). Before the civil war he was in Memphis, (Coventon, Tenn just North) Tenn. He died there and family moved back and lived with Duffey's in Mc Mechan, WVA. Also Any info appriciated.
