Jim, sorry for the misspelling - Euphemia was my g'grandmother's name.
I was in Edinburgh for one day and spent 5 hours at the Genealogy Library. This is what I got for the Shedden side on that visit.

Martin Thomas Peterson Shedden was born 1/1/1846 in Riccarton,Ayr (my g'grfthr) to Charles Hamilton Shedden and Mary Parker. MTP (Tailor's Cutter) and Euphemia Robb Lillie had 11 children, 6 of whom lived to adulthood. Charles Hamilton Shedden died 3/17/1859 in Kilwinning and is buried in the Churchyard, Irvine (between Kilwinning and Troon). His occupation is listed as Custom Weaver. I did not have time to find his birth place as I stumbled across his father,
Charles Hamilton Shedden and spent a good half hour proving these two men were father and son, not the same person. Charles Hamilton Shedden (the father) was born in Ayrshire (found on MTP's birth reference as witness to birth) and is listed as a Ship Master. No dates thus far. Hope this helps.
