There were three Becwars living in Crawford County by 1855-1860. Matthew(also seen as Mathias, Andrew and Anton(Anthony) According to my father (Great-Grandson of Matthew) the Andrew and Aton Becwar families were not related to the Matthew Becwar family. My dad knows the farm near Eastman where Matthew, his son Frank and Frank's wife Elizabeth lived. We lived very near there on the original Andrew Becwar farm when I was young. My dad's mother told him that Matthew's wife and other children had died of TB on that farm. I haven't been able to find any records in Crawford county on Mathew's wife or other children and have not been able to find any additional information on Baldy, although he is listed as a son in the 1870 Census with Matthew and Catherine as the parents and Frank as a son.
