Wow that is an incredible amount of information. I really like all the little details. It is amazing how these guys could work for the railroad 50 years, but they did retire well. So from Madison "Matt" Meadows you are related through a brother of James Thomas and on down... Have you seen the tv show called, "So who do you think you are?" Its pretty good and really brings ancestry.com alot of attention. How long have you been researching? I know it takes alot of time but its so interesting to find out the type of people we came from that it never gets old.
One thing I thought about EP's second wife, Bonnie. They married later in life and remember her being blind after a point. She was very sweet and always gave us lots of candy as kids. She also died before EP. I remember sitting on EP's front porch along with my father and EP spitting into a spittoon from a bit of a distance and never missing. I laughed everytime LOL.
My sister is on the east coast and I am out west. One day when we collect as much as we can I would like to visit the cemetaries and pay respects.
There's interesting information on my fathers mothers side. Have you ever heard about the Indian raids of 1759 and 1763 at Kerrs Creek Virginia. Its not far from Clifton Forge. We have relatives "Cunningham" who were caught up in all that and some died.
