Here's an article about the funeral of William N. Batson. I attached it, but it's difficult to read, so I typed it below:

Date: Sunday, November 20, 1859
Paper: The Daily Picayune (New Orleans, LA)
Page: 6

Mount Moriah Lodge No. 59, F. & A. M. – The members of the Mount Moriah Lodge No. 59, F. & A.M., are hereby ordered to assemble at their Lodge Room, corner of Lafayette and Camp streets, (Odd Fellows’ Building.) for the purpose of paying the last tribute of respect to the remains of Brother WILLIAM N. BATSON, a native of Ramsgate, England, and for many years a member of this Lodge, who died suddenly at London, England, 27th August 1859, in the fortieth year of his age. The members of Mount Moriah Lodge, and brethren in good standing in the fraternity, will assemble punctually at 9 o’clock A.M., on SUNDAY, November 20, 1859.

The funeral will take place at 10 o’clock A.M., from Odd Fellow’s Hall, at which time the friends of the family, and also those of John Baker, Batson, Eager & Co., and the Stevedores’ Benevolent Association, are respectfully requested to attend.

By order:
JAS. FURNEAUX, Secretary. J.T. WATTS, W.M.
