Surnames: Maxwell, Wehner, Jaynes
If Marie Esther Maxwell Jaynes was your aunt and Esther Josephine Wehner your grandmother we are related, but pretty far out on different limbs. we are 4th cousins 1x removed.

There are a few trees posted with Homer and Homer John on them, however some of the information is different from what I have. The first immigrant was Robert Maxwell, born Abt. 1754, perhaps from Finnebrogue, County Down, Ireland, if my info is correct. He died in the US (Pennsylvania? Ohio? after 1810). All following generations were American born. His son was Robert Maxwell, born in Pennsylvania (20 Mar 1776-25 Oct 1853) and died in Athens Co.,Ohio. I have no info back beyond Robert Maxwell of Co. Down, Ireland, and that's from an Internet tree. the rest I can vouch for. The Maxwell family may have cone from Scotland, originally. I wish I could tell you. However, suffice it to say that you won't go wrong if you celebrate both St. Parick's day and Bobby Burns birthday! A Celt is a Celt!
