Mr father is from Alexandria, Louisiana. His great grandmother was Christine Dupuy (sic) Aaron Levin born 1828 in Avoyelles Parrish. She was the daughter of Laurent and Marie Dupuis.

My question is ....why were the 70 odd families deported from France in 1755.
