ah, ok - thank you - with double-l > Kavallar
looks like a hamlet but is not stated at the communities belonging to Stockenboi. but normally people have their name about the place they came from, which can be a hamlet or farm or also got it about the occupation. maybe there was once a forge, but only a guess. people from there must know about the orgin of the placename.....http://maps.google.at/maps?hl=de&q=Kavallar++K%C3%A4rnte...
the small house on the alpine-pasture (Alm) with the name Kavallar is shown here north-east of Kavallar-hamlet (valley-ground): http://kavallaralm.plz-at.com/
it will look similar to such "Alm-Hütten"you see here, such houses were used of people in old time when the cattle was brought in the mountains in summer there. then they lived in summer on the mountains looked for the cattle, made cheese from the milk and so on. in autuum they came back to the valley-ground.some Almen still in use, but some also used from the owner for tourists making holidays:
take "Klassische Almhütte": http://www.urlaubaufderalm.com/index01.htm
at community they must know about orgin of Kavallar-hamlet and Kavallaralm. maybe one of the involved persons will ask: http://www.stockenboi.at/unsere-gemeinde.html
