To Cristina Dardis Talacko.
Rewing some notes about an historical research, I did find a reply to your query. Filippo Dardis and Gaetano Dardis are mentioned in some archives' documents of the council in San Marco Argentano (Cosenza), Italy.
In August 26, 1858 the council examined a Filippo Dardis' claim about his son that was a soldier in the Naples' army.
Also Dardis Gaetano is citated in two documents: in July 12, 1862 and in July 15, 1864, where his name is connected to the conscription.
In the archive J found also Dardis Bernardo (ice vender, document 1858), Dardis Luigi (engineer, documents 1867, 1870) and at last Dardis Pasquale asking for the allowance of a little share of agricultural land (year 1860).
You can find more information about in http://pachi.freeweb.org/REG5661.htm
(see also REG6163.htm and REG6366.htm).
