As far as I have been able to learn, we were the only branch of the family that came here - it seems the name got mangled a bit coming through either Canadian immigration to Newfoundland and possibly again coming to the U.S. I've never heard of relatives talk about a Stella. Do you know what Parish your relative came from in Newfoundland?

do you know the site? It lists families by neighborhood and although there were a number of errors in my family's records, it was still helpful to get the info.
