Yes, I have been to the archdiocese's website which is where I found that she was buried in Calvary in a very general area. I established a findagrave memorial for her and asked Calvary twice if they could give me a more exact location within this general area. They never have.....said they were "checking" each time but never got back to me with an exact spot. I requested a photo anyway and someone on findagrave was kind enough to take a photo of the general area. I read on-line somewhere that the Bishop of St Louis had the tombstones removed of all Catholics if the relatives didn't pay for upkeep? They informed relatives by putting an article in the Catholic Church's newspaper or bulletin which alot of people probably didn't receive or read. It was also reported that people saw alot of perfectly good headstones removed and thrown in a corner of the cemetery for disposal. I don't know if this is what happened to my great aunt's tombstone or if the family could not afford one at the time and she was forgotten about. Her name was Lena Anielak if you wish to look her up on findagrave.com. She died in 1939.
At least the diocese had a record of her being buried somewhere. There is none of my great-grandmother (Lena's mother) although I'm sure she died in St.Louis.
