Hello, my name is Mike Higgs. My grandfather was Louis Adams
born somewhere in Texas in 1884. Louis was in Conroe,Tx in 1933-1935 time frame with my grandmother Lillie Mae Adams.
I was told that once Louis was at a restaurant in Conroe and saw his brother coming in the front door so Louis and family slipped out the back door apparently some family conflict. I have been looking closly at the Holden Wade Adams family as possible family as they seemed to be in Montgomery county area about this time frame.
On the 1930 census of Greenwood Kansas[the only Census record with Louis]He states his Father[name unknown] was born in South Carolina. His mother born in Texas [name unknown, possibly Elizabeth]
I noticed that Holden Wade Adams SR. was born in South Carolina. Have you ever noticed A Louis Adams associated with this family? we seem to have hit the wall concerning Louis we only know that he was born in Texas 1884 and he died in 1939 in Libby,Arkansas and is buried in Mount Zion cemetery near Heber Springs.
Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Mike
