Danny,
This is part of my line. My grandparents were Cora Moye Vinson and she was married to James Vinson. She was the daughter of Wyatt Stanton Moye and Elizabeth Ann Hinson. Wyatt was the son of Richard Moye and Pheoby Ferbee Harris of Pitt county. My mother was Martha Elizabeth Vinson Evans. She was the youngest daughter of Cora and James, and she passed away this past November 1st. I really do not know much about the Moye side of the family. However they are from around Greenville N.C. If you have any info you can share just e-mail me direct, marybryan@svic.net. I'll share what ever I have. I'M sure we are cousins somewhere down the line. Mary

Looking for descendants of Roger and Ann (Phillipson) Moye. He died circa 1646, and Anne and William Vincent (one of my apparently black sheep) were convicted in Northumberland County VA (apparently they fled), condemned and returned (maybe) to Accomack for punishment. The Court records indicate that Anne was declared admx., and given her bed and three barrels of corn for the maintenance of her children.

Mary,

I say your posting on the Moye message board. My name is Robert Colman I am from the line of Myrtie Moye (b. 9 Nov 1889 d. 7 Jun 1969, Goldsboro, Wayne, NC) daug of Benjamin Moye (b. 11 Jul 1863 d. 20 Apr 1930, New Hope, Wayne, NC) and Lou Sutton (b. 8 Jan 1872 d. 9 Jan 1930, Wayne Co., NC). Benjamin is the son of William E. Moye and Nicey Manning (b. 11 Apr 1827, Pitt Co., NC, d. 31 Jan 1913), who also had children with names that match so of the ones you are researching. It appears that you have as much if not more info than I do, but it you think our lines might be connected feel free to contact me.
