THOMAS AUSTIN SENR IN OPEN COURT ACKNOWLEDGED A DEED FOR CERTAIN NEGROS UNTO HIS SONS THOMAS AND EDMOND, AND TO HIS DAUGHTERS MARTHA AND SARAH AS SAID DEED MAY APPEAR AND BY THIS COURT ORDERED TO BE REGISTERED

WHEREAS EXECUTION ISSUED AGAINST JOHN NELSON, PLANTER, AT THE SUIT OF THOMAS AUSTIN AND LYDIA HIS WIFE, FOR THE SUM OF 58 POUNDS 15 SHILLINGS WITH COSTS, AND THE SHERIFF HATH EXECUTED THE GOODS OF THE SAID JOHN AND CALLED CONTRARY TO LAW, THIS COURT HATH ORDERED THAT SAID EXECUTION BE VOID, AND THAT ANOTHER EXECUTION ISSUE

RICHARD COGDELL, DEPUTY SHERIFF, MADE OATH THAT HE HAD TAKEN A BOND SIGNED BY THOMAS HICKS AND THOMAS AUSTIN SR, FOR THE APPEARANCES OF THE SAID THOMAS HICKS AT THE SUIT OF WILLIAM GRAY FOR TAKING AND CARRYING AWAY A CERTAIN HOG OR PIG AND THAT THE SAID BOND IS LOST.

THIS COURT, BY CONSENT OF THOMAS LOVICK, DAVID SHEPARD GENT, AND GEORGE READ, TRUSTEES FOR DANIEL FRAZIER, CHILD OF JOHN FRAZIER DECD, HATH BOUND DANIEL FRAZIER UNTO THOMAS AUSTIN JR UNTIL THE SAID DANIEL ARRIVE TO FULL AGE AND THE SAID THOMAS TO LEARN HIM THE SAID DANIEL, THE COOPERS TRADE THE BEST WAY AND MANNER HE CAN AND TO LEARN HIM TO READ, WRITE AND CYPHER AS FAR AS THE RULE OF THREE AND TO PROVIDE SAID DANIEL SUFFICIENT CLOATHS, MEAT, DRINK AND PERFORM SUCH AS THE LAW ENJOYS.

THOMAS AUSTIN SR ACKNOWLEDGED A DEED UNTO HIS SON EDWARD AUSTIN FOR 320 ACRES OF LAND IN THIS COUNTY AND BY THIS COURT ORDERED TO BE REGISTERED.

THOMAS AUSTIN JR, HAVING SOME TIME SINCE HAD DANIEL FRAZIER BOUND UNTO HIM AS THE MINUTES OF THIS COURT MAY APPEAR, AND MARY CANADAY, THE MOTHER OF THE SAID DANIEL, WITH THE CONSENT OF THE SAID THOMAS, WAS WILLING TO TAKE THE SAID DANIEL FROM HIS APPRENTICE SHIP THEREFORE THE SAID THOMAS IS CLEAR FROM ANY DEMANDS THE SAID DANIEL SHALL HEREAFTER HAVE AGAINST THE SAID TH

MOSES AUSTIN AND JOSEPH FULFORD ESQ STAND AS SECURITY FOR GEORGE GIBBONS ESQ FOR COLLECTING THE PARISH TAX OF THIS COUNTY.

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN GILLET WAS EXHIBITED AND PROVED IN OPEN COURT BY THE OATH OF EZEKIEL HUNTER, AND THAT HE SAW JOHN PIGOTT AND EMANUEL JONES SIGN AS THE OTHER SUBSCRIBING EVIDENCES THERETO AND MOSES GILLET QUALIFIED AS AN EXECUTOR THERETO. ORDER THAT LETTERS TO BE ISSUED.

WHEREAS THERE WAS AN ORDER PASSED LAST COURT APPOINTING ROBERT READ, LEWIS WELCH ESQ AND WILLIAM BORDEN TO SETTLE AND AUDIT THE ACCOUNTS OF THOMAS AUSTIN DECD, WHO WAS ADMINISTRATOR OF EDMOND AUSTIN ALSO DECD AND NOT BEING DONE TO SATISFACTION THEREFORE THIS COURT APPOINTS ROBERT READ, LEWIS WELCH ESQ WILLIAM BORDEN AND MR THOMAS AUSTIN TO SETTLE AND AUDIT THE SAME AND RETURN THEIR INFORMATION TO NEXT COURT.
