I'd like to exchange info with those of you interested in this line. My ancestor is Solomon Gay who married Rebecca Elizabeth Pugh in Pike Co., AL. She was a sister of Lydia Pugh who married William J. Gay. John J. Gay's first wife was the daughter of Adeline Pugh, a sister of the above Pugh's. I'll be surprised if we don't find that all the Gay's are as closely related as their wives.
