I was there in September, 2004 and returned later that fall with a friend from Denver whose family I was researching. The visits were cordial and we left a nice gift to the church, so I cannot think of anything that might have caused the pastor to be less open to other researchers. In checking my notes, I did not use the original records, but photocopies of the original pages. A few copies were of poor quality, but most were readable. I am sorry that others are being turned away now.
