If you are taking your information from a Canadian census, Canadian french means that the language used at home is french and Canadian english is english. It doesn't have nothing to do with Quebec or Ontario, French is used profusely in Quebec, eastern Ontario, New Brunswick and parts of Alberta all other areas are English. If your are looking for French Canadian family, Ancestry.ca or .com is a good start, FamilySearch.org is another good site after that Goverment of Canada Archives on line as some stuff and also each province as their own archives. Good luck.
