Thank you for your offer>
I am interested in locating my Great Grandfather's burial site.

Joseph Zohner, died Sept 26, 1926 in Pueblo. He was born Sept 1, 1854 in Austria. He married Josephine Beutel in 1884, probably in Austria. That is the entire knowledge we have about him.

Anything you could find to augment this meager amount of information would be greatly appreciated.

I would appreciate info on Nannie G. [nee Wilson] SANKEY who is supposedly buried in a cemetery somewhere between Pueblo and Trinidad, CO. I found a posting on the internet that gave where an obituary could be found. Perhaps that would tell me which cemetery and other info. Her obit is in the Pueblo Chieftain dated Dec 16, 1929. She is a great Aunt of mine and I would like to visit her grave sometime.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi, I wondered if you were still willing to do cemetery lookups. I believe my great-grandmother, Catherine (Katie) Stubler, was buried in Roselawn Cemetery in July, 1918. That's all the information I have on her.
Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

Loking for two families:

Herman and Helena Steineke
Herman born 1878
Helena born 1882

Herbert Carey Mollahan and wife Estella (Steineke)
Herbert died 1973
Estella born 1912. Died 1984.

If you run into ANY Steineke at all, it may just be helpful! I have been beating my head against the wall trying to find these people.

Hi! I looked through the Pueblo County online resources that I know of and didn't find too much on the Steineke and Mollahan families. I did find an obituary listing for Herman Steineke. It was in the Pueblo Chieftain on October 5, 1945. I found no listing for an obituary for Helena Steineke. I also found this obituary in the database that may be related to your Steineke family.

Leona M. Steinke - Pueblo Chieftain - March 30, 2001 - Passed away March 29, 2001, in Pueblo. Leona was born in Pueblo on Aug. 19, 1918, to Richard and Nellie Sullivan Griffith and was a 1936 graduate of Centennial High School. She was a member of the Park Hill Christian Church and the Eagles Auxiliary No. 145 in Pueblo. Mrs. Steinke is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Carl (Carolyn) Steinke, both of Pueblo, Robert (Linda) Steinke of Alaska, Cynthia (William) Carson of Canon City; brothers, Vern Griffith and Richard Griffith and sisters, Irene Edwards, Corene Toft, all of Pueblo, and Mary Glasscock of Kansas; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2001, at 9:30 a.m. in the Park Hill Christian Church, 1401 E. 7th.

I was unable to find any listing of the Mollahan family, including in the Social Security Death Index. I would guess that they would be in there since they died in the 1970s and 1980s. Is it possible that Mollahan was spelled a different way? Pueblo's library does provide a service to obtain obituaries. Here's the information to request that Steineke obituary. Perhaps Herman's obituary would have additional information for you that might give you a lead to finding the information that you seek.

Patrons may phone, fax or mail requests for specific magazine articles, stock quotations, obituaries, classified ads, etc. to the Rawlings Library. For a small fee, librarians will locate the requested material, photocopy it, and see that it is delivered by one of three methods: fax ($1.00), mail ($1.00 for Pueblo County residents & $3.00 for non-County residents), or customer pickup ($1.00). The charge for long distance fax is $6.00. For articles over 10 pages there will be an additional 10 cents per page. Phone 562-5601 - Fax 562-5610 - Mail to 100 E. Abriendo Ave., Pueblo COO 81004.
