It's NOT always necessarily you! - it's THEM back then, and the screwed up records and misinformation and outright lies (sometimes). [Some of my ancestors didn't seem sure of when they were born!] Second, I've noticed doing this research that a lot of people flip-flopped their names too - and why, I don't know. Drives me nuts.

Correct - how many of the marriages [or divorces] were even "real" [legitimate] - or they were married under false pretenses - like Loretta Theil, aka "Norma Carty" for instance?

Ex.: Bertha Cydrus remarried a Lawrence Brown on 3/23/1921 yet claims she's never been married before - bonk!

Do check out that stuff on F-a-G and maybe consider e-mailing the guy that posted those memorials - he MAY be related. It's worth a try.
