As far as my mother and I have figured out the Creau surname is from Indiana. I just figured that Maguitte Creau may have been a relative some how.
I haven't been able to find much on the Ross Family side due to not knowing my father-in-laws dad. I am still working on that

hi michelle, Maguitte Creau was my great grandmother, she actually have a lot of grand and great grand children, very large family mostly lives in Anse Boileau, mahe, Seychelles. It would be great to find out of any other relatives anywhere who i don't know. Her grand children are off surname Arissol and servina the ones I know. Hope you find a bit more.

dear Clive, I wonder if you please could help me to find anything about my great grand father, Octave Arissol, he must have been born in 1800,not too sure, he had a son called Joachim, Andre,Ellie and Augustave, would be fascinating to know how he come to Anse Boileau, which that's where he lived.I think his mother surname was elizabeth, again not too sure.

I would appreciate your help in finding a bit more about my great grand father, his name was Octave Arissol, he must have been alive in the1800, I know he lived in Anse boileau, I know he had a few children.It would be interesting to know how he got to live in anse boileau and which part of the world he came from, I've tried so many site but no luck still.

Arrisol

Octave ANGELIQUE was born on Mahe in 1849 and in 1877 married Aglae Elizabeth.
His mother's name was Angelique. She appears in most records as just Angelique but her death certificate (1895) lists her as Angelique Arissol, age 70, and her parents as Arrisol and Julie.
According to the death certificate her parents were African, a description usually made for freed slaves the British brought to Seychelles in the 1860s and 1870s. However, the family were obviously in Seychelles long before that.
Octave and Aglae had several children including Charles (b. 1877) and Abraham (b. 1883) who were registered under the name of Angeligue and Michel (b. 1885), Andre (b. 1886) , Joacyn (b. 1888) and Marguerite Marie (b. 1895) all registered under the name of Arrisol , although with some variation of spelling.

Dear Denise, thank you ever so much for giving me a start of finding about my ancestor, but it can be a bit confusing, but again thanks a lot . I would appreciate if you could find out about the father and mother of Octave Angelique /arissol, if it's not too much trouble.
