Hi Marjorie,

Peter Wallace is the first known. He died in Northern Ireland. From there, probably County Meath, his widow accompanied her rothers to America.

My family: Beginning in 1724, Elizabeth Woods Wallace settled in Lancaster Co for 6-10 years with sons William, Samuel, Andrew, Adam, Peter, and Susannah. William, Andrew, Peter, and Susannah married their Woods first cousins, children of Michael Woods who was Elizabeth’s brother. Samuel married Ester Baker. All of Samuel’s children migrated to various parts of KY. One son was Caleb Wallace, a noted jurist in the state.

When the family migrated to VA they settled in Albemarle and Rockbridge (Augusta) Counties. My 3great grandfather (son of John Wallace) had a brother Joseph, but he came to TN with his family (John Wallace and Jane Miller of Greenbrier- my 4 great grandparents).
