Hi I see this thread has been dead for a couple of years but am curious to know if anyone has followed it further. I have recently done the new Ancestry DNA test and was surprised when my results came back showing me to be 93% Scandinavian since my Galyan heritage would have led me to believe I was mostly Scotch/Irish/English. One of the people that Ancestry has linked me to is a Tipton but they have a very limited tree and no connection to any of my family lines. A connection to the Gallion line would be helpful as it might help me define my lines beginings which now ends at William b 1791 NC.

Any other Galyans that have done the DNA test and how did your results come out?

Noel Galyan
