Henry F. Beck. Born 1844/5 in Germany. Immigrated to Indiana County PA in 1850's. Lived on a farm. Served in the CW. Moved to Pgh. Married Anna Mary Logan.

I don't know his parents' names ;-( He was my great-grandfather. I have been searching CW sites for years & he never turns up (also sent to Nat'l Archives). We're thinking he may have served in the militia or homeguard, in which case there would be no records.

But since you mentioned having this book....maybe he's there? Can't hurt to look -- if you have time!

Please look up the surname Wetmore in your book, if you have the time. 1840 Census shows a Gasper Wetmore in Indiana County with a male child under 5 years old. Joseph Wetmore was born sometime in the 1840's and had children in Indiana County. We are trying to establish a connection and have hit a brick wall regarding Joseph's Parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
