Yes, the Jr. is only used by researchers to distinguish him from his brother of the same name, James. His father, William, "fathered" two sons by the name of James. Each had a different mother who were sisters. My direct ancestor who had John Stanley Denmark was the second born James whose mother was Mary (called Jr.) The other James (Sr) mother was Anna. The suffix of the two men are only to distinguish between them. I have a feeling in today's world this family would have been prime candidates for a reality show! SL
