To Valentine: Cornelis Van Zee b. 11 Oct 1850 in Herwijnen d. 20 Jun 1934 in Pleasantville, Marion, Iowa md. Marie Streng 29 Feb 1872. Their son, John Edward b. 4 Dec 1875 at Pella, Iowa was my grandfather. Lourena Marie Van Zee was my mother. She married Walter Oney Cheeney. In researching this family I find many similar names: DeBruijn, Goes, de Kock, Verploegh and Hoogerwerff in the Genealogy from the family records. I would like to visit Herwijnen soon and locate the Van Zees there. Any suggestions?
