Hi Lynn,

Vestal is abt 45 miles southeast of Ithaca. My mother's house in Jermyn is 62 miles south east of my house in Vestal. WEre you going to school in Ithaca? I graduated from Jermyn High School and Marywood College in Scranton. I was a teacher first and left to raise a son and daughter. When my daughter was 6, I went back to work as an immigration counselor for a nonprofit agency. I left that after 10 years and became Ex. Dir. of a nonprofict mediation. I retired in 1997 and last April went back to work part time as an immigration counselor at the same agency as before. I;m there 3 days a week and take care of my 4 yr. old grandson 2 days a week.

Did I tell you I wrote for a copy of Theresa's original Social Sec. application? That was abt 3 weeks ago before you and I found each other. I also wrote for John and Fewron's SS5's. When I get those, I'm going to send for their death certs.

Do you think your uncle would be receptive to a letter or phone call from me re info and or copies of documents?

I love the story abt. Theresa. That's what so often missing in genealogy, the personal stories.

I was talking to my mother tonite and told her abt you. She reminded my of a story abt. the concrete steps Andrew built from the front porch. My grandmother came out and told me they were too slanted so he took them down and started all over again.

I didn't sleep well last nite and am very tired today. Tomorrow I'll get out the Mikridge photo album and scan some photos and documents to you.
