I am the daughter-in-law of a love one who I believe was born in St. Vincent's orphanage in Chicago, Ill. It seems that her birth was suppose to be a secret. I have very little information about her. My husband and the rest of her children did little to find out about much of her birth. We are not sure of anything about her life. We are not even sure of her birth name Kathleen Monica. Her last name may have been Hardesty. She later shortened it to Harding. She is now deceased, but she may have been born February 8, 1923 or October 9, 1923. If any one have any information about my mother in law's birth I would appreciate it. Or if anyone could tell me what my next step should be. Should I contact the Catholic Charities Archive Center or what should I do?
