Hello,
I am researching Bletcher Arms/Armes. I was told from one of his family members that he & a brother (Harrison) were born in Wilkes county, N.C. I thought that maybe this Robert Arms may have been his father. I don't think that this Robert may be related.

As far as I know, and have done alot of research, and alot of relatives have confirmed, there were no sons, but dont know about brothers.I once came accross on a Native american rolls, a Arm,s, and son,it did not say the name as to what Arm,s,all I know is Robert Arms,Running Bear, had four daughters,Peggy,Jenny,Seaberry and Sarah. He did not go to WVa,and thats a fact from my family members, and he and Frankie Fugett, went to Walk The Trail of Tears, and thats where we lose contact with him...at one time he must have lived in Wilkes,I also know that he ,ran with a family with the last name Alexander in Wilkes,One day hoping to make a connection as to what happen to both he and Frankie,,there is a native american woman who did make it on the Trail of Tears to Oakalahoma, who is listed on the final rolls as a Betsy RunningBear,so perhaps, this is a family member, just dont know, but would really like to find out where Robert went and where he died.....

Robert runningbear arms was my great forefather, his daughter Seaberry is my fore great grandmother, runningbear was chief of the wolf clan during the trail of tears both him and Frankie were killed between Hopkinsville Kentucky and Port Royal Tennessee, Seaberry and Sarah evaded the trail and Betsy made it apparrently to oklahoma if she appeared on the recieving rolls the other I do not know. let me state to you these are all fullblood cherokees, solomon name is Solomon Sock Sixkiller Sizemore Osborne whom was a cherokee scout for the Calvary that evaded the Army during the trail taking a few with him and Seaberry.

Hi cousin! This is very exciting news for me. Please can you share the information with us? Where are Runningbear and Frankie buried? What reservation or area were they from? Your cousin must be a direct descendent-does he have
family stories about them? Sorry for so many questions-I have been looking so long and I've yet to find anything
documented .Please point me in the right direction!

Yes,My cousin does know where Runningbear and Frankie are Buried, and the state, and He does not wish to share it,He is trying to obtain the land they are buried on,and Yes its sorta indian land, its The Trail of Tears.Where MY Family from WVA always knew they died.I find it odd that you want to know, due to ,you always said there was no proof, but they always have been ,it was staring us right in the eye,and ,we never even knew.I have been ask to not tell where they are Buried.I will post in six weeks,if ,we can verify exactly where they are,due to The grave site is on Native American Trail of Tears, and They were killed.I remember when I use to write you,you would not reply to me,,so Jean has a site on ancestory now,so she must know everything!Ask her.

Hi-I'm sorry if I offended you in any way by asking for documented proof of Runningbear. I have only family stories to go by and not too many people in my family left to ask and so far ,most of my information has come from online sources( and we all know they are only so reliable). I just want to know any official information someone might have. I don't understand the secrecy that is surrounding Robert's burial site, tho. Who are you protecting it from?

Mel,you can look for a Port Royal Tennesse and its on The Trail Of Tears map,but Secrecy,Thats Funny...concidering ,why dont you ask relatives, they might know, where he is buried, and I have saw your post on Tribal pages, and you seem to have called the person whom responded to you a untruthful person, not in so many words, because they had said he was of Native American descent, but Robert Edward Arms, was just receintly found, and his burial site, and his realtives,so we are still trying to piece it all together, before setting up a site to let others in OUR Family know, and, When people are told to soon, they tend to tell others and they take credit for the work that I have done, when all the paperwork on Robert is done, then we will post it,we are in no hurry, and arent going to fight over it,when Ned Sizemore, you know of him,all his info was posted way to soon, and its a mess, and we are not going to do that.I am sure you have stuff you dont post, and Thats ok,and ,its ok for me to!
