I have both the Burda and Szczerba from Poland both names in our family tree. I have found a Jewish connection to both on Jewish Gen and Avotaynu. I am searching for Wawrz Szczerba b 1859 in Brozowa,Poland. His children were Wawrz born 1881, Michael born 1882, and Sophie born 1890, all in Poland.
