CONYERS, Dr. James H: Resident Surgeon, Public Hospital, New Amsterdam; ed. Queen's College; first Guiana Scholar 1882; champion lawn tennis player in the colony.

CONYERS, Frank Albuoys: Manager, British Guiana Bank (Robb Street, Robbstown), born Georgetown, ed. Queen's College, entered BG Bank as junior clerk; appointed Manager in 1904; used to be one of the best rifle shots in the colony.

CRAIGEN, William: Retired planter; formerly Superintendent, Orphan Asylum; at one time was largely interested in sugar in connection with Plns. Cornelia Ida, Vergenoegen, Philadelphia, Henrietta, Aurora, and Hoff-van-Aurich; was a member of the Court of Policy.

DAVSON, Edward Rae: Sugar Estate Proprietor; son of Sir Henry Katz Davson, Deputy Chairman, West India Committee; partner in London firm of H.K. Davson & Co., Director of S. Davson & Co., Ltd., Berbice, the Blairmont Sugar Plantation, Ltd., the Guiana Gold Co., Ltd., and the West Indian Produce Association, Ltd.; contributor to "Empire Review" and other publications more especially on Imperial questions; has visited the interior of the colony on several occasions, and keeps in close touch with the affairs of the colony which he visits often.

FOWLER, Frank: Commissioner of Lands and Mines; Assistant Clerk, P.W. Department, February 1878; 3rd clerk, January 1881; 2nd clerk, April 1884; 1st clerk and draughtsman, Government Lands Department, November 1884; 3rd Government Surveyor, May 1886; Senior Government Surveyor, April 1896; appointed J.P. November 1900; Assistant Commissioner of Lands and Mines, 1st April 1902; Commissioner of Lands and Mines, 1st April 1903.

GARNETT, Hon. George: Of Garnett & Co., Merchants; b. at Seaforth, Lancashire, February 2, 1859; ed. Wellington Col., Berks; was trained for five years in firm of Brown, Shipley & Co., Liverpool; later became partner in firms of Alex. Garnett & Co., Liverpool, and Garnett & Co., Georgetown; chairman of local Directorate of Demerara Railway; Chairman of B.G. Mutual; Deputy Chairman of Sproston's, Ltd.; 1891, F.R. for Demerara; 1901, M.C.P. for City of Georgetown; 1906, M.C.P., Senior member, ditto; oldest member of the Central Board of Health, now Local Government Board; very largely interested in the balata and rice industries.

GARNETT, George Russell: Representative of Messrs. Curtis, Campbell & Co., ed. at Marlborough, England; son of the late Henry Tinne Garnett; director B.G. Bank, and of the B.G. Mutual Fire Insurance Co.; sat on the Hospital Commission, 1907; honorary correspondent to "West India Committee Circular".

JARDINE, Douglas Kennedy: Manager, "The Daily Chronicle"; ed. Queen's College, B. Guiana, and at Owen's College, Manchester; trained as an Analytical Chemist, but on the death of his father, Mr. C.K. Jardine, he took over the management of the business of "The Daily Chronicle"in 1902, being one of the attorneys of the estate.

KING, Joseph Arthur: Crown Solicitor; Copyist, Registrar's Office, Jan. 1878; acting 3rd Assistant Sworn Clerk, March 1882; 4the Assistant Sworn Clerk, Oct. 1882; 2nd ditto, July 1883; passed examination for certificate as Sworn Clerk and Notary Public, June 1885; now Crown Solicitor.
