Yes, my grandfather name was Saba. I don't know about Saba being used as a last name-I've never heard that before.
Since most of the men in the family were priests that's where Khoury comes from, since it means priest in Lebanese.
In the 1980 Mortgage Banquet booklet for St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church there is a small photo of Michael Saba Curry and also a photo of his son, also a priest, Alexander.
I believe Michael was my grandfather uncle. Alexander baptized one of my children. Michaels son, Ray sang in the choir, very nice gentleman-he was short in stature with a hunched back. Vivian, was very talented when it came to decorating-think she moved to Texas. They are the only ones I rememmber.
Michaels wife, a sweet sole, was friends with my tita (grandmother)-I can remember her always touching the priest's robe during the Great Entrance of the Divine Liturgy and she knew her Orthodox religion.
